My Stand and Hood Project . Talk about overkill - look what we used for the frame. We finished it with Maple. Ours is also in the family room, so I wanted it to look like a piece of furniture that went with the rest of the house. As far as trim pieces, I would follow Probuilders advice and call around to cabinet makers, or your local wood working store.
