I have one more question if you don't mind. The front (and back for that matter) of your birch plywood box, is that made from a solid piece of birch with openings cut out? It looks that way. How did you cut the openings? Did you use a jigsaw or circular saw? I was going to use individual pieces of oak 1x material to constuct my face frame. Your way is better, no seams. Thanks for the ideas you've given me.
