Re: FrogSpawn Mold/Algae?

yes, I have had the same problem in the past. It was brown jelly disease. Lynn on here just went through a siiliar experience. I did FW dips with RO water, and saved a few heads. The dead heads had to be cut away with a dremel. Brown Jelly is a bacterial infection, and is usually caused from injury.. a fish nipping at the coral flesh, getting scraped on a rock, being damaged during handling... it is an almost overnight problem... one day they look fine, and the next, the heads start melting away... Is the brownish slime on the skeleton directly under the head? I lost 3 or four heads... the problem also came about two weeks after fragging. The ones I had were delivered here for a frag swap and belonged to someone else... and were freshly fragged. There was one infected frag that we did not throw away, and no one wanted it at the swap, and it was left here. I decided to try to doctor it back to health.. and it was in REAL bad condition. Barley any flesh left... I did RO/DI dips for about a week, and it came back to its former glory. Hope this helps.. its prob. not the preferred method, but it worked for me...
