When a clam expels water it can be very powerfull, you should have a flatish piece of lr or another half shell for the clam to attach to, this guy needs a firm substrate, sometimes the lfs will stick them in the sand so they are easily removed for sale, the bissel foot your seeing is normal thats what it will bind to the surface with.
