| Re: The Bluespot Club So sorry to hear another blue was lost.
Great pic of a gorgeous fish canadiensfan.
He looks very happy.
Lorraine I am going to have to check out this Florida Keys thing. My LFS has a new supplier that is bringing stuff in directly from the keys now. Straight from the dive boat to a holding tank to my lfs. A lot less stress on the fish. If he can get a bluespot from there I may just try again. I still think shipping stress was the problem with the one blue I lost. Everything I have read though says they come from the gulf of California. Very interresting. I can at least ask anyway.
With that said I won't get a new one until I have a more suitable tank set up for them. If I do it will be a combo bluespot seahorse tank since they both like the cooler water and the blue likes open expanses of sand while the ponies like their hitching posts. The ponies shouldn't stress out the blue with too much activity and visa versa. I thing the combo could just work. Still in the long term planning stages though so I will keep learning from everyone else for now. |
