Also he may well have been just cleaning up. It is entirely possible that the snail died and then hermes decided to snack. Scarlets have the best reputation as far as crabs go so I would give him the benefit of the doubt on this one. I even bought a couple of scarlets the other day for my tanks. First crabs I have added in almost 2 years.
