My personal opinion would be that you don't need to dip them unless you are really unsure of the conditions of the LFS/tank that they were previously in. In some cases, these sorts of treatments can actually stress the recipient more than help them. I think a good slow acclimation is key, as well as acclimating the piece to your lighting.
