I am glad things look better in the light of day. The rock can live just fine without the serious lights. The bacteria that is important lives inside the rock and doesn't get any light at all. Try to find some nice porus base rock and add that to the tank. The bacteria will soon start to grow there with or without corraline. The corraline is pretty but not at all necessary.
Water changes are a great thing and will fix a world of hurt but if at all possible use ro or ro/di water and mix it for at least 24hrs. This will help even more with your problems.
