Don't feel too bad about all this.

Over the years, I've torn my own tank down and rebuilt the while thing. Most recently was bout 2 years ago, when I went away on vacation, and the GFI breakers tripped shutting off power for a week. I came home to a foul smelly mess, and lost everything except a few zoos.

I just tore it all down, recured the LR, and set it all up again. I was able to make some changes in the original setup, and that improved some areas of the system.

It's more a question of how you view things. I think if you view this as a opportunity to redo everything and get it all right, you'll feel a lot better about it.
