I have a Maxi-jet 900 pump. There is a Y nozzle from the pump in the tank. I have one end positioned at the surface of the water and the other pointed towards the back of the tank. I was told by my LFS to position one on the surface to get more air in the tank.
That is exacly what she is talking about on the air exchange. The power head pointed at the top should do the trick. I would slowly raise the salinity to 1.025 since that is much closer to natural sea water but othet than than your paramaters look greatl
