Welcome Blue! You should really be thing 1 1/2 to 2 lbs per gallon. I know that's going to increase cost but it's what is needed for proper biological activity. I'd be careful about buying all in ones. I've yet to see one that has all the correct items. It's really difficult to set it up with rock and sand and wait 3 months to add livestock without losing significant biological activity. Once a tank cycles in, it's ready and needs to have livestock added to maintain biological activity. |
