i know boomer is gonna yell at me, but from your desciption i would GUESS sebae, many times they are somewhat bleached and have the purple tips like that. Some clowns will not host in them so that could be why they are not hosting yet either, although sometimes it just takes time.
My cinnamon will host in anything within 5 minutes, its great.
