Start removing at ASAP. I didn't and now it covers a quarter of my LR. It's the bane of my life right now.
This stuff grows just like coralline algae but is paper thin and can be pealed off with a little effort. It hasn't hurt any corals but it smothers the coralline and without light the coralline bleaches.
