Hello Joan, Welcome to RS.. Just a few words of encouragement "always be careful when you at a petstore and they say buy this and buy this and buy this" They are only in it for the $. I would not add any treatments to the tank.. The best thing to do is water changes. Alot of salt mixes have what you need to keep the tank healthy.. In a tank that small keeping all water reading,(salinity, temp, ammonia, nitrates, and nitrates) where they should be is gonna be key.
