Re: Joe's 65 Gallon Aquatic World

Did some water tests; everything came out great. I'm actually quite suprised.

Day 40:

Temp: 83 Degrees
Salinity: 1.024
pH: 8.4
Ammonia: 0
Trites: 0
Trates: 0

Temp is kind of high. I'm going to get another thermometer and check it out. I've noticed these Coralife digital thermometers are notorious for being way off. A user on RC posted something about how he had two of them and they were 10 degrees from each other. That is ridiculous!

pH is finally up to 8.4. Is this something that happens once the tank has been established for a while? It was only reading about 8.2 for the first month or so and now seems to be right where I want it. Only thing I've done recently was add some macro to the fuge and been running the fuge light from an opposite cycle of my main tank lighting.
