[Bulwinkle]

I looked into my tank today and noticed that my male Maroon clown was attacking the female. I attempted to remove the nasty boy from the tank but he is quite small and cowered under the rock. I have removed her and placed her into onother small tank i have but her fins are quite damaged and she doesn't look to well. I was told they were a mated pair when i purchased them and they have been in the tank now for quite some time with no hassles. What would be the contributing factors to the male attacking her? Being i am new to this im not sure but will her fins repair? She is fairly big and was a gorgeous fish, now she doesn't look her radiant self. Also, should i ever put the two back together?
A couple more questions, does anyone here have a Sohol Tang? I have stumbled across a photo of one and they look simply amazing. If anyone does, are they a good fish to have in a small reef tank? Can anyone suggest some good bright coloured fish that would suit.
