I'm noticing brown spots appearing on the sand and rocks. Some purple and pink stuff is also starting to appear on the rocks. From what I understand, this is all normal.

Today I've noticed alot of particles in the tank water. Yesterday the water was almost perfectly clear and today its a mess. I'm wondering if its die-off and small sand that has circulated in the tanks water volume?
It may be time to grab an Aquaclear hang-on and get some sediment filtration going? Would this help?
