I think that I'll try cutting back my feedings to twice a week, and see what happens with the little guy. He has been growing, and my larger clams grow like weeds, but I really would like to cut down on adding so much "foodstuff" everyday.

Other than color loss, are there other health signs that I should be watching out for when I do this? I expect that the rate of growth will slow down (probably a good thing with some of the biger clams), but other than slowed growth/color loss is there something tell-tale that I should be watching out for?
