| Re: looking to start up a nano Welcome to RS! Glad to have you join us.
I have a 24g Aquapod with stock lighting for my seahorse tank. I have several soft corals in it with no problems. I have mushrooms, zoas, xenia, and several non photosynthetic corals. I have raised the lid and it sits on my hood since I have the 24 sharing a system with my 125. Unless you drill the tank I don't know how you would add a sump without removing the hood. I guess you could probably cut the hood somehow, but I have never done anything like that. To share water between the 2 tanks I have a small pump in the back of the pod that pumps water into the 125. Then I have a gravity fed u tube that brings water from the 125 back to the 24. To do this though both tanks have to be at the same height and most people put the sump under the tank so you would probably do the reverse. It could get tricky though to balance the flow depending on the pump etc. |
