| Re: Lynn and Frank's saltwater adventure. The Chevron and the Sailfin get along great. It probably helps that I got them at the same time and at about the same size. Also the fact that they have different body styles helps.
I am just about to go to the lfs, but already called and there is no bluespot for me today. That is what I really want.
My husband bought two new fish yesterday without me. A pearly jawfish for the pony tank and a neon dotyback for the reef. Both are doing fine so far. The jawfish has moved a ton of sand overnight. I can't see him right now, but the pile keeps growing so he is obviously ok. My flameback was picking on the dotyback last night, but everybody seems to have settled down overnight.
As to what I am shopping for toady, since I can't get a bluespot it will depend on what is there. Probably a coral or two though unless I break down and get new ponies. They got some in this week but they are all females. I really wanted a pair, but may settle for 2 females. I really have no way to raise the fry, so the pair thing doesn't really matter, I just like the mating dance they do. Hmm last time I could only get males this time it is females. I'll have to see how they look and how good they are eating and then decide.
Pics of the new fish and whatever else I get before the weekend is done. I promise. It may be tomorrow since I have to go to my in-laws today. We have relatives here from Germany visiting so I have to go do the family thing. Best part is that Frank is making ribs tonight so dinner will be great. |
