welp if you guys know me, you may know ive been planning to get lionfish. welp the LFS ordered me 2 antennata lions that absolutly gorgeous!!!!! but on the other hand, my wife and i have become attached to our cute, albeit stupid, cardinals!

so heres the plan. instead of my overflow overflowing into the sump, i want to have it overflow into another tank. I will set up a 10 gallon tank with a nice deep sand bed just for my cardinals, as well as whatever i may want to add laters. The deep sand bed, and teh extra live rock space will make it sorta like a "show" refugium. then that tank will overflow into the sump.

since my sump currently has the fuge built into it, i will redo the dividers. this time ill set up baffles and just make it 2 chambers.

so ill have the main tank that overflows into a smaller tank, that overflows into the sump, and is pumped back up to the main tank. ill house my lions, and corals in the main tank, and my cardinals in the smaller tank.

how does this sound to you all? problems? advice? love? pants?
