Hehe, so a couple people mentioned they were intimidated to write a post on
ReefPedia.
Like most phobias, the best way to cure the thing you fear is to face it head-on!
First, let me go over a couple ways that wikis can be intimidating and why you should ignore that instinct:
- Fear of breaking something: You can't break it unless you're a bona fide hacker and know what you're doing. If that truly is the case, please get the hell off of ReefSanctuary immediately.

- Feeling inadequate? The great thing about a wiki is that anyone can edit anything you write. So if you post something inaccurate or
a typo, anyone can come along and fix it.
- "The formatting - I'm not a programmer!" That's OK, try using the WYSIWYG editor at the top of the edit page. It doesn't have to be pretty anyway... the important part is the information. Someone can come along later and make it pretty (see "feeling inadequate?" above).
- "I don't know how to do (x)." That's OK, add what you can, save it, then ask a question here on RS in the ReefPedia forum. I`'ll be happy to help, and others can learn from the thread!
Now... time to face your fear. Then come back here and tell me how painless it really was.
