Hey guys, I am going to try something new here and do a coral of the week!
Feel free to post pictures of your different types of Euphyllia!
This weeks coral is Euphyllia!
Common Names: Torch, Hammer, Branching Hammer, Anchor, Frogspawn, and Grape coral.
Lighting needs: Moderate to High lighting for these corals.
Water Flow needs- The torches like more water flow than a frogspawn or a hammer likes. Frogspawns and hammers do best with a light flow going across them. Torches on the other hand like a stronger current in bursts, not all the time.
These corals are fairly aggressive in that their tentacles can pack a pretty bad sting. Keep at least a 4-8 inch area surrounding the coral, as these corals have a several inch sweeper tentacle that comes out at night. This species comes in many different color variations.
With this coral a proper level of calcium, iodine, strontium and other trace elements must be maintained for proper growth and repair.
They are fairly hardy and will thrive in a aquarium with proper lighting and a tank that is established.

Feel free to ask any questions/comments/pictures you may have!
Hope this Coral of the Week thing works out!
