My orange tree sponge was not attached to substrate either, and I think that may have been
one of the reasons for its demise. Not sure if you can glue directly to the sponge or not. Happy to hear Blue Spot is doing well and that he has choosen to janitorialize one section of your tank. I'm still waiting for my BS delivery.
