I would not get a glass top. Use eggcrate instead. Leaving the top open will give you more air exchange and more oxygen in the water. Also depending on your lighting you can significantly reduce heat in the tank by having fans blow over the top.
Can't wait to see the pics of your purchase. The price was certainly right.
