I should install a GFI for my tank equipment. Multiple GFI's are best to keep one 'trip' from turning off all equipment.

Got it Woody....the differance lie's with the differance between a static charge and an open circuit....ground probes are best used with a GFI due to a stray current being grounded would shut your system down within 10ms. I know that it was worth the few bucks to go down to Home Depot and replace my current wall plugs with GFI plugs where my tanks are located, I have had over flows shut the tank down before the circuit breaker can pop and before water get all over the floor......GFI are a must for a reef tank
