good question!

no drawbacks that i know of i always mix my kalk lean, 1tsp to a gal. so i dont have to worry about accidental overdose, i only let it sit for a couple of min. to settle and drip it in faster than most. But on my glass covered 120 i only drip in 3/4 gallon of this lean mix twice a day. Prior to adding the glass canopy it it was 3-4 gallons a day of topoff daily, and wet windows around the whole house.

the lean kalk is the way to go for me, it works great in my 10g nano and does not stress anything.
