Well, it was a clam we were given by someone who tore down their tank. I have another crocea and a maxima both of which are doing fine. Then again that one did fine for about 4 months, then in 2 days it was gone. The others I have had a couple of months longer. I wish I knew what happened to the one I lost. It went downhill very quickly. All my parameters were fine so I am at a loss. He was the only one on the sand so maybe he didn't get enough light. The others are on top of the rocks so maybe that is why they are still ok.
The engineer is about 4-5 inches now. I was told they get about 12 inches when full grown. We'll see how he likes my system. He was jumping so much in the bag I am terrified he will jump out of the tank despite my eggcrate. |
