Re: JKreef's 75 Gallon Project

Thanks everyone for the kind words.

I was shocked and devastated to lose corals and fish i'd had for near the start of my tank...but I can't let an event like that make me lose my passion for saltwater. I know I'm not the first one to have a tank crash, and unfortunately I'm sure I won't be the last.

It's odd to say, but I'm excited to hopefully see a new tank come together even if it isn't the coral reef I once had. I was getting comfortable where my other tank was at, and really didn't do anything with it but water changes and the occasional dosing of calcium, now I'll get to fiddle again!

Next step is to clean of the liverock and rid it of any Xenia remnants, and hopefully move my rock soon into a 125 gallon FOWLR. One thing I learned with my old tank is that HOT overflows are garbage! I should've spent the extra money for a reef ready tank.

You can expect to see a chronicle of my FOWLR, hopefully with some of my favorite fishes once again!

Cheers,

Jason
