The reactor size is rated up to 300 gallons. My effluent drip out of the reactor is reading about PH 6.7 which is dissolving the media ok and not affecting my tank's overall PH. For media, I'm using A.R.M. which I'll be changing to Knop Koralith next time when I refill. If I raise the CO2 rate it will drop my PH too low and raise my Alk to high. For the first couple of months Alk was about 10 and calcium 400.
Then I started adding more SPS + my corraline started growing fast. My Alkalinity went up to 18 but my calcium level only hovered around 300.
Believe me... I tried tweaking it every way I could... but came to the realization that I would have to supplement my Calcium reactor with Kalwasser. I've seen that most SPS reefs run both calcium reactor and dose Kalkwasser... now I know why.
Another added benefit is my PH remains much more stable dripping Kalwasser.
