| Kevin,
The Jacksons were exported from Hawaii cause they were trying to get rid of them. They came over on the old trade ships in the 1800's and took to the rain forest jungles in HI really well. They wound eating some endemic to Hawaii only insects, (butterflys, snails etc) and the state's ecology dept wanted to get 'em out of there. I hadnt heard that they were no longer exporting them...this doesnt make sense to me....but then again its been a while since I've been over there. My parents were stationed over there when I was in high school. We used to go up to the mountains and catch 'em all the time.
