dont do as i do, i dont follow a schedule any more, there seems to be so little free time that i do what needs to be done when it needs it or soon after it needs. water changes every 3 weekish, skimmer when its uber nasty looking, glass when it needs it. bulb changes, when i cant remember how old they are. about the only thing i do consistantly is feed and watch the tank~

i say this as my best advice to a beginner. do not,,,and i repeat,,,,,DO NOT look at my tank as an example....i have a well practised eye, decades of experience, and a trunkload of failures to allow me to force the issue and get away with things most cannot~
