| OT: New Monitor! Well everyone, I've been in the dinosaur ages when it came to monitor technology. For the past 8 years I've been using the monitor I got with my very first computer. It was a nice state of the art 15" CRT monitor when the "flat screens" first started coming out. It still works really well and the picture is really clear on it. I haven't had any actual problems with the monitor itself, however it was obvious that EVERYTHING demands a bigger viewing screen now. So, as of today, I've joined the rest of the population and purchased a 19" LCD monitor. It's an LG Flatron L1919S monitor with 1400:1 contrast ratio, 300cd/m2 brightness and 8ms responce time.
I must say the sheer size of the screen is absolutely HUGE compared to what I'm used to! Gone are the days of 800x600 resolution to be replaced with 1280x1024! This is the way that my digital pictures are suppose to be viewed! It's given a whole new dimension to the photos that I took during my vacation in Scotland! I'm extremely impressed with it so far!
