I think that's a great idea. Should have to worry about hang on overflow failing. I just picked up my 120gal to replace my 90 gal and had 7 holes drilled in it.
I will be drilling my 90 after I get done setting up the 120, for FO tank. In my Opinion I believe that is the only way to go if you can.
