 clam ate my wrass
i have a beautiful clam in my tank....buuuut....last nite i was checking everything out and what did i see...my favorite fish, a green wrass head first caught in the clams grip of death. i tried to pry it open but there was no way that sucker is strong.. he actually squeezed him so hard his insides came out, then my conch came up and started eating what ever came out..(i know lil bit too much info)...im devastated..he was my second wrass after the first one didnt make it...
im gonna get rid of the clam i suppose i cant chance him killling off anymore fish..as of now almost 24 hours later the fish is still caught in the clam..so now im subjected to seeing my dead fish everytime i look in the tank...which is quite often,..is he gonna eat him or was he just trying to defend himself..my question is ,is that normal do clams usually attack fish or was it maybe a freak accident (r.i.p. greenie) |
