I will have one once I get it up and running, I built it using an AGA 20 gallon High aquarium, some acryllic, eggcrate, silicone, and plastic weld.

Snelly, a refugium does a few things for you. First, the sand, rock, and critters there act as a filter to remove waste and detritus from the system. Chaeto (or other macroalgae) Also help to reduce phosphates and nutrients that might otherwise lead to algae growth in your tank. They provide an excellent habitat for copepods to breed and produce a food source for benthic fish and inverts such as blennies. And, the added water volume helps stabilize your system.
