Gorg's are typically a filter feeder, though some are photsysnthetic. Not actually and sps, although the growth structure does resemble a skinny acro colony.

Dunno if you purchased at an LFS, but if you are loking for a gorg, I think you will find them difficult to keep in a small tank like yours. I would try a frag of one from a fellow aquarist. They will also be able to tell you if it is photosynthtic or a filter feeder. I think a small peice will be much easier to keep alive in that tank than a wild colony.
