I also recommend NAUI and Scuba Quest, My son and I both got our certs there. One other thing I didn't see mentioned is, since you are going to be getting certified and like
nggrant@mac.com said, buy a computerand go a head and sign up for the NITROX class, by no means does this mean you can't get DCS, but breathing more of a concentration of oxygen sure does help to deter it. Plus we don't have the SIT times air divers have on the boat. You'll learn all about the differences in class. Good luck, have fun and the most important thing is to be safe and know your limits.
