| red algae/cyano went away!
well, 5-6 days after i did the flow increase/repositioning, i woke up this morning to totally white sand!  YAY! it's gone! my phosphates came in low, so i figure it was just a new tank thing combined with the flow issues i was having... sweet. i'll get some pics up tomorrow.
