The Mag 7 comes with 1/2 connector and 3/4 inch connectors I think. It has been awhile for me and don't remember what comes in the box with the pump.
The Mag 9 is 3/4 inch connectors I think.
I would use 3/4 inch pipe to the T or Y. and then use 1/2 pipe.
I think home depot had the T with 3/4 in and 1/2 inch out converter's.
