5 minutes seems a little quick. I float the bags for 20-25 minutes. I poor the fish and water into a bowl or bigger bucket. Add 1/2 cup tank water every 4-5 minutes , once the water amount in bowl has doubled. I scoop half water out of bowl and do it all over again. Add 1/2 cup tank water every 4-5 minutes until it doubles again.Probably takes close to 20-25 of adding the tank water.
