i had a bad experience with them about three years ago, on a halide retrofit kit; then a good experience with them about a month ago. so i don't believe the poor customer service is a recent problem.
they are also operating on ebay under another name (AQUARIUMLIGHTS) to hide their identity (and you can't read their feedback), but when the package arrives, it's postmarked from PSL.
they sell CA lights (and other CA products). i'm not sure if the two companies are the same. they claimed that the 250 watt 14K halide that i bought (CA brand) is made in germany and is the same as ushio (the brand i've been using). i have had a bad taste in my mouth for CA products for several years, but i really can't complain about the halide i just got.
so, all-in-all, they are one and one with me.
