Quick question...may be dumb, but here goes.
I want to add more rock structure to my tank, but don't want to go the expense of more liverock, and the process of curing it in a separate bin. So I was wondering if the rocked deemed "reefer-rock" (dried out, previously LR) would cause any sort of a cycle? I know it would be completely dead, but would that dead dried matter cause a cycle, or would it even affect my system to add it.
I was just wondering because we have some really nice pieces of this at work, and I want to pick some up because it's only $1.99 per pound and then I'd get my discount.
What do you all think, would I be alright adding it to my system without having to worry about a cycle?
I would like to go this route because of the money I'd be saving, and it would eventually "liven up" anyways, and with my coraline growth it should be covered in no time.
