My name is Anne. I have a husband who is a public school math teacher. Together we have 2 children. Our 13 year old has 3 heart defects one of which has been surgically corrected, he is also developmentally disabled which have resulted in many issues involved in taking care of him. Our 7 year old also has a heart defect which has also required surgery. Both of the boys deal with asthma when their hearts are acting up on them. Needless to say, because of all of that, I am a stay at home mom.
I am just starting in this hobby because I want my children to know how and ecosystem that they may never see in real life functions. I also hope that it will serve to calm my older son down when he bounces off the walls because of unscheduled changes in our daily routine. I also believe that many lessons could be learned from this by my children as well as myself.
Because of this I am having to do this on a budget skinnier than a shoestring. I have posted some of the equipment needs in the appropriate forum. I hope somebody has some good condition used equipment that they are not using and willing to part with cheap.
