john is correct that zonealarm is blocking the port, in order for you to access other printers and files on another pc, you have to disable the firewall. Anther thing too, check the printers and files you want to share, and make sure that they are shared on the network. In order to use the printer from a remote pc, you need to manually install it from the remote pc. (go into the printers file in the control panel click add printer, and choose network printer) I'm sure that you've done all this already, but just in case you missed a step 
The other thing too, is if you can successfully run the network wizard on the old pc, make the network startup disk for the new one, and it will automatically set it up for you on the new pc.
