I have a 40g tank that I would love to shut down. The only coral in it that I would like to save is a very nice yuma. It has been in the same spot since it crawled there, and seems quite content. However, it is on a rock that is huge, and will fit no where else. Any quick solution? I don't want to kill it because I really like that it is colorful and I haven't killed it yet despite myself.

I have considered putting a small rock nearby, and then just blocking the light from the coral.....would it move back to the light and my frag rock?

Depending upon the type of rock, often your best solution is to break the rock so you get off what you want as a small frag.

You can also consider using a tile wet saw to cut the usual soft live rock, but they are fairly expensive if you don't already own one.
