Hello! We are new to the group. Im writing because we purchased our first bubble tip anemone yesterday. He never attached to anything, and now he looks deflated and has gunk hanging out of his mouth. Im attaching a picture, but glfrom everything I have read it seems he is dying? Is there something I can do?

Anemones often retract for a few days when they are moved. The "gunk" you are seeing is anemone poop, and you can remove that.

Anemones require well established tanks, excellent water quality and excellent lighting. This kind of begs the questions -
How long have you had your tank set up?
How large is the tank?
What kind of filtration and skimming do you have on the system?
What kind of lighting do you have on the system?

A few things to keep in mind. For the moment, leave it alone. Usually the more you disturb it, the less happy it will be. Unlil you see the anemone fully extended, do not attempt to feed the anemone. They can live a long time with out being feed, and it's a lot more important to get it acclimated to your system.
