Which is better led or t5

Each type of light comes with pros and cons but led or T5, they are both proven to work. I run led for mains and then T5 on the sides to round things out. They are each capable of standing on their own though assuming sufficient power for the tank/ corals.
I think the important question is what kind of setup are you building, budget, app savy, type of vitals etc.

My own system uses four AI Hydra 52 (Older model). I only run them about 70% of max so if I were doing it again, I'd consider something like four AI Hydra 26 fixtures.
