Weird Algae type stuff - ID and advice please

  1. Hi i discovered this weird looking stuff the other day when i turned of my blue lights on my LEDs and was left with just the whites on. It looks like almost dusty looking, on my substrate, especially in the corners and at the edges where it meets the glass, and i also think its on my rocks, but its dificult to tell. its a weird green colour almost neon/luminous

    tank is a RSM130D been setup for about 5 weeks, cycled with Colony
    Livestock: 2 clowns, 2 hermit crabs
    tunze 9001 skimmer, media rack running floss, purigen, chemi pure elite
    dose 1 drop of aquaforest pro bio s and np minus per day

    parameters checked a week ago (they are due to be done again tomorrow) using Red sea marine test kits
    Temp -24
    SG 1.024/5
    Amm - 0
    Nitrite - 0
    Nitrate - between 5 and 10
    Phosphate (using elos HR kit) - 0.046

I don't know an exact id for the algae, but for advise, I would add a hardy cuc (clean up crew) of snails and let them get to work on it - love snails for cuc - Asterea, Trochus, Cerith, Nerites, Margarita, Mexican Turbos & Nassariu - about one per gallon, though you might start with 1/2 this many.

In a new tank you will go though some algae cycles... for the 1st 6-9 months

see what others think & suggest...

You have a new tank. Such algae outbreaks are typical, and just part of what you can expect the tank to go through. Don't panic. Do the normal partial water changes and give the system some time.

Adding a good clean up crew can do wonders at keeping the algae down.
