Water evaporation

Question about what do when water evaporates from tank. I have read to use fresh water but wanted to know what is the best water to use. Is any ro water good? They have the ro water at walmart in front of store is that water clean enough to use?

what water are you using for your sw - most use the same, only without the salt

if it helps... lfs (local fish stores) that sell sw, also sell plain ro/di

You have to be careful with those machines. Often the filters are not changed on a regular basis. I would suggest a small investment in a TDS meter so you can test the water if that is what you want to use. Long term there is nothing better than having your own RO/DI system for top off and NSW.
